About Jen

jen hudziec

My name is Jennifer Hudziec and I am a Ritualist. My whole life has been shaped by the transformative powers of ritual. As a child I was raised Roman Catholic, but was an animist at heart spending all my waking hours outdoors communing with the natural world. I departed institutionalized religion when I was 18 and began a lifetime of exploring various spiritual paths. The common thread in each of these paths was ritual. It was through ritual, initiations, and rites of passage that I transformed my life and found my true calling as a Ritualist.

As a Ritualist I hold a safe and tender space for ancestral healing, spiritual mentorship, and rites of passage including death & dying support. I also have a passion for teaching and passing on what I have gleaned from all of my experiences and training. I am truly dedicated to being able to meet people where they are and therefore provide a spectrum of offerings from free online rituals, to group work, and private sessions.

roots

I am the daughter of Linda and Ernest, granddaughter to Hedwig, Rudolph, Geraldine, and Raymond.  I am a first generation American and reside on the traditional lands of the Abanaki peoples in New Hampshire (US). My maternal grandparents immigrated from Nova Scotia, Canada and my paternal grandparents immigrated (fled) from Poland after being interned during WW2. My ancestry is Slavic (Polish, Czech, Russian, Lithuanian, and Slovakian) Germanic, and Scandinavian (Danish and Swedish). I am dedicated to the traditions of my heritage by reviving and carrying forward my ancestral traditions as a cornerstone of my spiritual practice and ritual offerings.

influences

I am indebted to the teachings of Elder Malidoma Somé on behalf of the West African Dagara people for leading me back to my ancestors and to initiated Elders Ann Sousa and Holly Brown for anchoring years of Dagara ritual work in my life. I am an initiated Dagara Diviner with Beyi name, and am grateful for Dagara ancestralizations, elemental rites of passage, grief work, and the connection to Wedeme (keepers of the wild). The spirit of the Dagara lives deeply in my bones and I extend respect, credit, and gratitude whenever referencing what I am fortunate to pass on. In addition, my work has been deeply impacted by Dr. Daniel Foor of Ancestral Medicine, and ALisa Starkweather of the Priestess Path Women’s Mystery School.

I am committed to deconstructing both personal and systemic whiteness / institutionalized racism by engaging in learning / listening spaces, taking direct action, and making regular reparations to marginalized communities and non-profit organizations. I offer a limited number of low income private sessions by request via my contact page.
